What items does Grateful Gatherings accept?

Grateful Gatherings accepts quality, gently used furniture and household goods. Items must be free of stains, rips, tears, and pet hair.

Where and when can I donate my furniture and household goods?

Grateful Gatherings accepts donations of quality, gently used furniture and household goods on our Gathering days listed on the calendar page of our website. We do not have a storage facility so we only accept donations on the days listed.

Can Grateful Gatherings pick up what I want to donate?

We only pick up large furniture items. If you need a pick up on the day of the Gathering please contact us.

Where can I get a donation receipt?

Donation receipts are available when items are donated at the Gathering. We can email you one as well after a furniture pick up.

What does Grateful Gatherings do with the furniture and household goods I donated?

Grateful Gatherings distributes furniture and household goods to local families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Every year we serve 30-40 local households in need.

Does Grateful Gatherings turn down donations?

Yes. It is important to Grateful Gatherings to provide quality, essential furniture and household good items to people in need. Therefore, we are unable to accept items that are not on our accepted donations list and/or are stained, ripped, torn, and/or include pet hair.

Where can I take the items I want to donate but aren’t accepted by Grateful Gatherings?

If you want to donate an item but Grateful Gatherings doesn’t accept it, here are a few helpful resources:
