Shinita is the mother of Ulisa, an adorable one-year-old with down syndrome. Shinita and Ulsa just moved into their first apartment after leaving Project Pride, a program for addiction recovery. Shinita has been clean for 15 months and is excited to start her life over with her baby. Shinita’s mother Sandra lives with the family to help provide childcare for Ulisa while Shinita is working as an in-home caregiver.
Before the gathering, the family only had an air mattress, crib and miscellaneous household supplies.
The Miramonte Baseball Team volunteered with our Orinda Chapter to help Shinita and Ulisa start their new life in a safe and comfortable home.
When the family saw their new home, they were overjoyed! There were tears, laughter and smiles from all.
Shinita and her family now have comfortable, warm and beautiful beds to sleep in. They can relax together in the living room after long days and eat dinner together at a kitchen table.
We absolutely love everything! Thank you! We just can’t believe it is our home.
Thank you to the Miramonte Baseball Team for making this family’s future brighter!
And as always, we couldn’t help as many people as we do without the gift of CHIPMAN RELOCATION AND LOGISTICS.
With gratitude,
Donna and Chris
